How do you line up kitchen cabinets?

Kitchen base cabinets and wall cabinets don’t need to line up with each other in terms of the individual width of each cabinet. In fact, we don’t recommend you try to line them up. It is best to create a nice balanced arrangement on the upper, independent of the lower. Its more important that the cabinets be functional, and thus, choosing a cabinet to serve a purpose it better than choosing one to match the cabinet below or above.

The overall width of base cabinets to wall cabinets, on the other hand, should line up with each other or show some form of symmetry with additional shelves or a party unit etc.
