Hybrid Flooring Calculator FAQs

The amount of hybrid flooring you need depends on the total floor area and an allowance for installation wastage. Measure each room’s length and width in metres, multiply them to find the square metres and combine the areas. Add your chosen wastage percentage, then divide by the selected flooring’s coverage per pack to estimate how many full packs to order.

You can calculate hybrid flooring for multiple rooms by measuring each floor area separately and adding the results together. For an L-shaped room, divide the space into rectangles so the measurements are easier to manage. The calculator lets you add multiple areas and optional deductions for sections that will not receive flooring. Check that adjoining areas are not counted twice.

A 10% wastage allowance is a common starting point for straightforward hybrid flooring layouts, but the amount needed can vary with room shape, plank layout and cutting. Rooms with more corners, angled walls or a complicated laying pattern may need a higher allowance. Confirm the percentage against your chosen product’s installation instructions and your installer’s recommendations before ordering.

The number of hybrid flooring packs you need depends on the floor area after wastage and the square metres covered by each pack. For example, 30 m² with 10% wastage requires 33 m². If each pack covers 2.2 m², you need 15 full packs. Pack coverage varies by product, so use the actual figure shown on your chosen flooring product page.

The hybrid flooring calculator can estimate material cost when you enter the price per pack and its coverage in square metres. It rounds the estimated quantity up to full packs before calculating the total. The result is a guide rather than a checkout price and does not include installation, floor preparation, trims or other extras. Confirm the current product price before ordering.

You can use your calculated floor area on our hybrid flooring product pages to confirm the actual pack quantity and price. Enter the measured area and select the product page’s 10% wastage option, or enter an area that already includes wastage and leave that option unticked. For a custom allowance, use the second method. Avoid adding wastage twice, and check the final packs before ordering.
