About this Vanity Cabinets warranty

This Warranty Schedule applies specifically to Alpine KB Freestanding and Inset Acrylic Baths purchased in Australia for domestic use. This schedule must be read in conjunction with the Alpine KB General Warranty Terms & Conditions, which govern all claims, exclusions, labour limits (1 year maximum for labour), and statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Note: Vanity Tops (Ceramic, Engineered Stone, Acrylic) and Basins are covered under the separate Vanity Tops & Ceramics Warranty Schedule.

Alpine KB warrants that Vanity Cabinet components are free from defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase for the periods outlined below:

In addition to the general exclusions set out in the General Terms, this warranty does not cover:

  • Excluded Items: Vanity tops, basins, waste outlets, tapware, and mirrors (covered under their respective warranty schedules).
  • Moisture Damage on Non-PVC Cabinets: Swelling, warping, or blown edges on standard timber/MDF cabinets caused by standing water, leaking plumbing, or failure to dry spillages immediately. (Note: Standard vanity cabinets are water-resistant, not waterproof. Only designated PVC ranges are 100% waterproof).
  • Weight & Capacity Limits: Failure or drawer runner damage resulting from overloading drawers or placing excessive weight on open doors.
  • Installation Distortion & Structural Movement: Cabinet binding or misaligned doors caused by twisting or screwing the vanity cabinet out of square during wall installation. Door misalignment or runner failure resulting from house movement, foundation settling, or structural shifting after installation is excluded.
  • Sunlight & UV Fading: Natural aging, changes in gloss levels, or colour fading/yellowing caused by direct exposure to sunlight or UV radiation.
  • Silicone & Adhesive Damage: Damage to cabinet finishes caused by using harsh, solvent-based, or non-neutral cure silicones during installation.

Proper care is essential to preserve the finish and structural integrity of your vanity cabinet. Failure to follow these guidelines may void your warranty.

Routine Cleaning

  • Clean: Wipe down surfaces using a soft microfiber cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of mild, non-abrasive liquid dishwashing soap.
  • Dry: Immediately dry all surfaces, door edges, and seams with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent moisture penetration.

Managing Spills & Moisture

  • Always wipe up water splashes, soap residue, or steam condensation immediately.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation (e.g., operating an exhaust fan) in the bathroom during and after showers to prevent prolonged humidity build-up.

Prohibited Products (Will Void Warranty)

Prohibited Products
Abrasives: Steel wool, scouring pads, abrasive sponges, or cream cleansers (e.g., Jif, Gumption).
Harsh Chemicals & Solvents: Acetone, nail polish remover, bleach, ammonia-based glass cleaners, tile/grout cleaners, or alcohol/methylated spirits.
Waxes & Furniture Creams: Avoid polish or wax-based products as they leave a greasy residue that attracts dirt and ruins the finish.

Installation guide

Hinge Adjustment

Alpine Q cabinets are equipped with adjustable hinges to ensure your doors align correctly. Refer to the accompanying hinge image when identifying the adjustment screws.

Side-to-side adjustment
The screw closest to the door edge adjusts the door’s position left or right.

Up-and-down adjustment
The middle screw adjusts the door’s position up or down.

In-and-out adjustment
The screw furthest from the door edge adjusts the depth, bringing the door closer to or further from the cabinet frame.

Adjusting your cabinet doors

  1. Open and close the cabinet door to determine which direction it needs to be adjusted.
  2. Side to side: If the door is too far to the left or right, adjust the horizontal screw.
  3. Up and down: If the door is too high or too low, adjust the vertical screw.
  4. In and out: If the door is too close to or too far from the cabinet frame, adjust the depth screw.
  5. Make small adjustments: Use a Phillips-head screwdriver and turn the appropriate screw a quarter- or half-turn at a time to avoid over-adjusting.
  6. Test the door: After each adjustment, close and open the door to check the alignment.
  7. Repeat as necessary: Continue adjusting the screws until the door is correctly aligned.

Adjust all hinges: Doors have multiple hinges. Adjust each hinge as needed to achieve uniform alignment.

Drawer Removal & Adjustment

Drawer installation

  1. Fully extend the runners: Pull the drawer runners out from the cabinet to their maximum extension.
  2. Align the drawer with the runners: Position the drawer so that the drawer slides align with the runners inside the cabinet.
  3. Slide the drawer onto the runners: Carefully slide the drawer onto the runners, ensuring that they engage properly.
  4. Push the drawer levers or clips: Push the locking clips fully inward until you hear or feel a click, indicating that the drawer is securely locked onto the runners.
  5. Test the drawer operation: Open and close the drawer several times to confirm smooth operation and proper soft-close functionality.
