Imagine the serene beauty of sandy shores beneath your feet, now captured in the soothing sandy beige hues of these luxurious tiles. Each tile is a masterpiece, enriched with subtle, organic veining that brings the tranquil aesthetic of a beach into any room, crafting a warm, welcoming atmosphere where relaxation meets sophistication.
Not just a feast for the eyes, these porcelain tiles are a marvel of modern engineering. Made from porcelain, they are denser, less porous, and harder than their ceramic counterparts, ensuring your floors remain pristine with minimal effort. The textured surface not only adds depth and authenticity, echoing the feel of natural stone but also hides the hustle and bustle of daily life with grace.
The precision of rectified edges means tighter joint spaces and less visible grout lines, enhancing the seamless, continuous appearance of your floors. Suitable for a broad spectrum of applications, from cosy living rooms to bustling commercial spaces, these tiles are equipped with anti-slip technology, ensuring safety in every step without sacrificing the smooth finish that makes them so inviting.
Magic Stone Sand Smooth Grip 600x600mm is part of the Magic Stone range and also comes in 300x600mm and 600x600mm variants.
With multiple faces to choose from, the design possibilities are as endless as the horizon. And, backed by a 10-year warranty, these porcelain tiles promise enduring beauty and durability. For those seeking contemporary elegance without the hefty price tag, tiles in Perth have found their zenith in the Magic Stone Sand Smooth Grip, transforming everyday spaces into havens of comfort and style.
Smooth Grip
INNOVATION-DRIVEN | |||
| The tile industry constantly innovates the design and manufacturing techniques used to produce this versatile product. One of the ‘holy grails’ of tile design is to produce a tile that is smooth to the touch, but has anti-slip qualities, combined with the usual features of inert hardness and stain resistance. Biomimicry is a practice that learns from and mimics the strategies found in nature to solve human design challenges. Scientists looked for inspiration in solving this riddle by looking under a microscope at the adhesive pads of frogs and geckos, which allow these animals to have strong contact with wet surfaces. The surface of their footpads is evenly covered with fibres, the dimensions of which decrease as they approach the outer surface, allowing moisture to drain on contact, giving the skin pad grip. |
THE NEXT BIG THING | |||
| They discovered that a combination of finely ground silicates and quartz with anti-slip qualities, suspended in the pattern inks sprayed on tiles before kilning, produce a similarly effective nano-surface. These tiles have a high slip rating, measured by the pendulum test, and excellent stain resistance. Our new SmoothGrip finish uses the latest nano-surface technology to produce a smooth surface with a high degree of slip resistance. This new surface provides a durable, tactile, low-maintenance finish with aesthetic appeal without sacrificing safety. |
